The purpose
Explore ways to understand a crisis scene from a distance.
THE IDEA, AT A GLANCE
A clearer view may help responders make a more considered decision. This project studies an unarmed, human-operated drone for supervised observation and communication.
PROJECT ACCESS
A verified visitor app address is not available yet. Explore the project brief and ask about its purpose and next milestone.
Availability is shown as it is verified. An operating control appears only when a supported connection exists.
Explore ways to understand a crisis scene from a distance.
Support thoughtful decisions under pressure. Keep the operator in control and use training feedback to improve the quality of information available.
Evaluate whether supervised remote observation can support responders.
Review flight safety, permissions, privacy, recording integrity, and communication failures.
HOW THE IDEA TAKES SHAPE
Set a narrow supervised objective.
Capture results and interruptions.
Discuss accuracy and practical limits.
Advance only on reviewed evidence.
Illustrative workflow. The project’s current status and remaining work are described below.
WHERE THE PROJECT STANDS
Work in progress: scope, requirements, and evaluation plans may change as research proceeds. Concept and development plan only; no completed aircraft or operational capability is claimed. The initial prototype is unarmed. Remote less-lethal concepts are limited to isolated software simulation and inert props, with no physical force-delivery interface. Future force-delivery research would require separate legal review, applicable authorization, manufacturer involvement, and independent evaluation. No agency endorsement or demonstrated reduction in injuries is claimed.
Project goals describe the direction of development. A prototype is an early test version; synthetic demonstrations use fictional material. The interactive exhibition demonstrates selected workflows with fictional records. Separate operational applications retain their own access and deployment requirements.
