The purpose
Study whether aerial observations could improve situational awareness.
THE IDEA, AT A GLANCE
Useful observations need context and a reliable record. This project explores officer-directed aerial observation with attention to measurement quality, review, and human control.
PROJECT ACCESS
A verified visitor app address is not available yet. Explore the project brief and ask about its purpose and next milestone.
Availability is shown as it is verified. An operating control appears only when a supported connection exists.
Study whether aerial observations could improve situational awareness.
Set the standard before scaling. Let careful validation and accountable supervision shape how the concept develops.
Evaluate accurate, reviewable observations under human control.
Validate measurements, flight permissions, privacy, source accuracy, and agency policy before operational use.
HOW THE IDEA TAKES SHAPE
Set a narrow supervised objective.
Capture results and interruptions.
Discuss accuracy and practical limits.
Advance only on reviewed evidence.
Illustrative workflow. The project’s current status and remaining work are described below.
WHERE THE PROJECT STANDS
Work in progress: scope, requirements, and evaluation plans may change as research proceeds. Proposal only. Sensor accuracy, airborne measurement validity, flight permissions, lookup access, VITURE compatibility, and Axon integration are not established. Multiple readings do not automatically establish reasonable suspicion, probable cause, admissibility, or driver identity. The initial evaluation uses consenting participants and a closed course; no live traffic enforcement, autonomous enforcement, or operational facial identification is included.
Project goals describe the direction of development. A prototype is an early test version; synthetic demonstrations use fictional material. The interactive exhibition demonstrates selected workflows with fictional records. Separate operational applications retain their own access and deployment requirements.
